Event takes place in virtual mode on October 27th and 28th. Submission of abstracts must be made by this Wednesday, September 30th

Feevale University, through the Tourism Course, and the Tourism Research, Development and Innovation Centre (CiTUR) of Portugal will hold the XII International Tourism Congress (ITC'20) on October 27th and 28th. The subject is The image and sustainability of the tourist destinations. The event will be held in virtual format, due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The aim is to contribute to a deep and fruitful discussion on new trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Tourism sector.

The conference is directed to academics, master's and doctoral students who study Tourism, Travel and Hospitality or related subjects. Leaders and professionals in the Tourism sector, interested in knowing the latest developments in academic literature and who want to share their knowledge with conference participants are also invited to join the event. At the conference, national and international experiences will be based on competitiveness, sustainability, brand, marketing, and the experiences of customers of tourist destinations.

One of the main objectives of the congress is to provide an open forum for the exchange of views on topics related to the strategy and management of tourist destinations among the community, students, academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and professionals. The ITC'20 will include three modalities of sessions:

1 - Parallel Sessions: the academic community and Tourism professionals may submit their work for public presentation

2 - Special Sessions: in this edition, a special session is planned in partnership with the scientific journal European Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Recreation (EJTHR), subject to the theme Technological-based innovation and new paradigms in tourism

3 - Plenary Sessions: renowned academics in the field of Tourism are invited to present oral communications in the areas in which they are specialists

Inscriptions

Registration must be made on the website, address at which, also, information of the fees. Abstracts must be sent, as an attachment, to the itc.eventos@ipleiria.pt address, until September 30. All articles presented will be included in the Book of Minutes of the Congress, which will be published with an ISBN number and in electronic format.
