Feevale University is represented at the 8th World Water Forum, an event that joins institutions from different countries in the discussion and promotion of actions and policies about the water theme. The forum takes place in Brasilia until next Friday, March 23. Prof. Annette Dröste, coordinator of the postgraduate program (PPG) in Environmental Quality of Feevale, Prof. Daniela Muller de Quevedo, substitute course coordinator and the researcher and also professor of Feevale’s postgraduate program, José Galizia Tundisi participate in the event. Prof. José Galizia Tundisi, who is a world authority on water quality will also be the mediator in the roundtable discussion on Urban Water Challenges in the Americas, which will take place on Wednesday, 21.

The World Water Forum is organized by the World Water Council, an international organization founded in 1996, based in Marseille, France, which brings together nearly 400 institutions related to water issues from approximately 70 countries. The event contributes to the dialogue of the decision-making process on the theme at the global level, seeking to achieve the rational and sustainable use of this resource. Due to its political, technical and institutional scope, one of the Forum’s main characteristics is the open, democratic participation of actors drawn from different sectors, making it an event of great relevance on the international agenda.
