Feevale University is a finalist at Brazil's Independent Games Festival (BIG Festival) 2018, in Big Impact category: Educational Category, Water Generation Game, developed in the Institutional Learning Objects Laboratory. For the second consecutive year, the University is the only Brazilian teaching institution to compete for BIG. The result of the competition will be announced at the official ceremony of the event, which will take place on June 28 at Centro Cultural de São Paulo. Professor Guilherme Theisen Schneider will represent the Institution.

Developed in partnership with the National Water Agency, the game aims to educate the player about correct ways to use water and to present how waste affects not only the environment, but also life quality and the economic situation. The Ministry of the Environment, through the National Water Agency, financed Débora Nice Ferrari Barbosa research group project. In the category, each game competes with games from Brazil and Canada. Festival visitors, from June 23 to July 1, can check all finalist projects at the official ceremony site.
